At launch, Skype will be made available initially on a range of 24 Telkomsel smartphones including Samsung, Blackberry, Nokia and LG handsets, with plans to extend support to a broader base of phones (including J2ME-enabled ones) in future.
In addition to owning a supported smartphone, consumers will need a special Telkomsel data package, available from as low as Rp 25.000 per month. Kartu Halo, simPATI and Kartu AS users can enjoy the following Skype features on supported smartphones:
