Suchi Mukherjee
User experience & communications
As lead for User experience & communications at Skype, Suchi Mukherjee manages a combination of product and marketing functions responsible for delivering great user experience across key user touch points – the client, web, payments, and our communication channels including customer support. The mission of the team is to drive user growth and engagement.
Prior to Skype, Suchi was at eBay Inc.’s UK business focusing on improving buyer & seller experiences on the core auction business. Before joining eBay, Suchi was part of the Management Team of the Consumer Division of NTL (now Virgin Media) UK’s largest cable company, where she led the one of the largest operational transformations in the company’s history involving 1,200 people across 13 sites and 36 customer facing sales and marketing functions.
Suchi spent the early part of her career in corporate finance with Lehman Brothers where she focused mostly on the telecoms and mobile space: restructured Orange’s Eastern European assets, helped Telekom Austria acquire Mobilkom, raised financing for Vodafone. She also launched the first structured debt product in India and helped create the world’s largest aviation insurance company.
Suchi graduated as a Commonwealth Scholar from Cambridge University where she read Economics & Mathematics. She was also awarded the Chadburn Scholarship. She also holds a MSc in Finance with Applied Mathematics at the London School of Economics, where she was a British Chevening Scholar. These days, she says, life outside Skype, is mostly about her 3-year old. In a previous life, there was time to feed her passion for on-stage theatre, painting and working with underprivileged, budding entrepreneurs.
