ValueCommerce Announces Partnership with Skype

Tokyo, 22 June, 2005 — ValueCommerce, Japan's leading affiliate service provider and Skype, the Global Internet Telephony Company™, today announced a partnership to reward website publishers for promoting Skype on their sites. Through ValueCommerce's affiliate marketing program, affiliate websites will receive commissions for sales of premium Skype services that are the result of click through traffic from their sites.


Skype’s innovative software allows users to make superior-quality voice calls over the Internet for free. Skype’s pre-paid premium services, SkypeOut, SkypeIn and Voicemail are available in the Skype Store at www.skype.com and allow global connections to traditional fixed and mobile phones for low-cost, destination-based pricing. SkypeOut allows customers to call landline and mobile phones worldwide for the price of a local call, and customers of SkypeIn, in beta testing, are assigned a personal SkypeIn number in their resident country with which to receive inbound calls to the Skype client. Skype also offers Skype Voicemail for users seeking to continually maintain their availability with a voicemail box.


As Skype’s partner, ValueCommerce will act as Skype’s central online sales network; rewarding online communities, website owners, bloggers and Skype fans that promote Skype on their sites with commissions of up to 10%. By simply signing up to the ValueCommerce affiliate program, applying to the Skype campaign and adding Skype functionality and advertisements to their website, affiliates receive commissions on the sales of premium services from every customer who has visited the affiliate’s site in the previous 90 days. ValueCommerce's existing network of 110,000 affiliate sites will be able to instantly participate in this program from launch.

Onet Forms Partnership with Skype

Warsaw — 22 June 2005 — Onet.pl SA (“Onet”), Poland’s most successful portal and Skype Technologies S.A., the Global Internet Telephony Company™, today announced an ‘Onet-Skype’ client for the Polish market, part of a long-term strategic partnership.


Onet today launched a co-branded version of Skype for Windows v1.3 for its portal users, enabling Polish consumers to download the Onet-Skype software to call friends and family for free. Additionally, Onet-Skype users will enjoy low global calling rates for Skype’s pre-paid premium offerings including SkypeOut, the beta version of SkypeIn and Skype Voicemail. Onet will provide local payment methods for premium offerings for the Polish market.

Skype Voicemail and Windows v1.3 Launched

Luxembourg 13 June 2005 — Skype, the Global Internet Telephony Company™, today launched Skype Voicemail, allowing customers to continually maintain their Skype availability and ubiquity, even while offline. First available in beta in April 2005, Skype Voicemail is Skype’s second pre-paid premium offering. Also today, Skype released Skype for Windows v1.3, offering feature improvements to enhance usability and ubiquity through extended integration with other desktop applications.

Unlike standard voicemail systems, Skype Voicemail also allows customers the flexibility to send pre-recorded voice greetings to any other Skype user, regardless if the recipient is also a subscriber to the service. SkypeIn beta customers from the eight countries in the beta test can also receive Voicemail messages from ordinary fixed or mobile phones. Consumers can personalize Skype Voicemail, set their answer preferences, customize their greeting and receive messages up to 10 minutes long.


Skype Voicemail subscriptions are available for €5 ($7)* for 3 months or €15 ($19) for one year.
