Luxembourg, 24 May 2005 — Skype today announced the launch of its affiliate program that will reward online communities, website publishers, bloggers and Skype enthusiasts with commissions of up to 10% for promoting Skype on their websites. Skype has won the 2005 Webby Award for Telecommunications.Ê The Webby, called the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times, is an award honoring excellence in Web design, creativity, usability and functionality. This year’s 9th annual awards received over 4,000 entries from more than 40 countries.
